About the role:

The Multimedia Artist at Babil Games plays a crucial role in creating captivating multimedia content and audiovisual assets to enhance the marketing and promotion of our games. This role involves video editing, animation, sound design, and visual effects integration, ensuring the delivery of high-quality multimedia materials that engage our target audience and drive user acquisition. The Multimedia Artist collaborates closely with directors, stakeholders, and team members to ensure the final product aligns with the project's vision and objectives.

Responsibilities:

Footage Organization and Selection:

• Organize and review raw footage, ensuring that all necessary files and assets are readily accessible for the editing process.
• Select the best shots and sequences based on the project's requirements, visual aesthetics, and narrative flow.
• Collaborate with the director or project stakeholders to gather feedback and direction for footage selection.

Video Editing and Post-production:

• Utilize professional video editing software, to assemble and edit video footage.
• Arrange clips, trim or extend sequences, and make creative decisions regarding pacing, timing, and transitions.
• Apply advanced color correction techniques to ensure consistent and high-quality visuals.
• Operate video and photo cameras, as well as lighting equipment.

Audio Integration and Sound Design:

• Integrate audio elements, including dialogue, voiceovers, music, sound effects, or ambient noise, to enhance the video's storytelling and impact.
• Edit and synchronize audio tracks, ensuring a balanced mix and proper timing with the visuals.
• Contribute to the creation of immersive soundtracks and sound effects suitable for gaming environments and marketing videos.

Visual Effects, Animation, and Motion Graphics:

• Incorporate visual effects, animation, motion graphics, titles, and lower thirds into the video to enhance the storytelling and visual appeal.
• Collaborate with motion graphics artists or visual effects specialists to integrate high-quality effects seamlessly.
• Ensure that visual effects, animation, and motion graphics align with the project's style and maintain consistency throughout the video.
• Utilize 3D modeling, texturing, and animation skills tailored towards marketing and game development applications.
• Seamlessly integrate visual effects into both live-action and animated sequences.

AI Tools Utilization:

• Utilize AI-powered tools for video editing and enhancement.
• Apply AI-driven techniques for audio enhancement, noise reduction, and sound design, such as KROTOS, 11Labs and any other AI Tools.
• Stay updated with the latest AI tools and technologies in video and audio editing to incorporate innovative solutions into the editing process.

Artistic and Design Skills:

• Apply a deep understanding of artistic fundamentals, art, design, and color theory to reflect the brand and guide visual storytelling and aesthetic decision-making.
• Embrace creative freedom to propose and implement innovative ideas that enhance multimedia projects.

Market Research:

• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in multimedia production and audiovisual design.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in content creation and promotion.

Scriptwriting and Event Coverage:

• Write scenarios and scripts for video productions.
• Provide video and photo coverage for events both inside and outside the company office.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of video editing principles, including pacing, timing, and storytelling techniques.
• Knowledge of audio editing and sound design principles, with the ability to integrate audio elements effectively.
• Familiarity with visual effects, motion graphics, animation, and color correction software/tools, with the ability to incorporate effects seamlessly.
• Experience with AI-powered tools for video and audio editing.
• Creativity and problem-solving abilities to make creative decisions and overcome challenges during the editing process.
• Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• 1+ years of experience in video editing, animation, or a related role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing previous video editing, animation, and motion graphics work.
