3D Team Lead

About the role:


The 3D Team Lead at Babil Games plays a crucial role in the studio’s creative vision. We’re looking for a skilled and experienced 3D Team Lead to guide and elevate our 3D art team in crafting visually compelling assets for our projects. This role combines artistic execution with leadership, mentorship, and production oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 3D artists, supporting their creative and professional growth.

  • Provide feedback, approve final assets, and maintain quality standards.

  • Contribute directly to crafting 3D rooms, environments, and interior-style scenes with a strong emphasis on lighting, mood, and visual composition.

  • Ensure all assets meet artistic, technical, and performance requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with the Art Director.

  • Improve and optimize 3D workflows and production processes.

  • Be flexible with working hours to participate in meetings across multiple time zones.

  • Work in a hybrid setup with both on-site and remote collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in 3D art production.

  • 1–2+ years in a Lead or Senior role.

  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Maya (modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering).

  • Photoshop knowledge.

  • Strong artistic fundamentals: form, proportion, color, material properties.
